New techniques for a new generation
This is not your grandmother’s or your mother’s world.
Let’s face it. We don’t live like people did 20, 30, or 50 years ago. We don’t go to school the same way. And we certainly don’t communicate the same way.
Truthfully, we haven’t for years. But after the pandemic, our lives are in many ways unrecognizable from even 2015.
So why would we parent using strategies that we learned from our parents?
Just because it’s how we grew up doesn’t mean the strategies our parents used are right for our kids. It’s possible to find a path that works for your life…and that’s where we come in.
Salisott PCC is on a mission to help every family laugh more and yell less
You’ll hear us talking a lot about more laughing and less yelling. That’s because it’s what every family we talk to desperately wants.
And while, yes, we absolutely want to heal the child, it’s just as important to heal the whole family.
That’s where our focus is different. We focus on helping the adults (that’s you!) become more emotionally healthy so you can model the behaviors you want to see in your kids.
Ready to laugh more and yell less?
Meet Our Founder, Sarah Salisott
A trauma-focused parent coach and author, Sarah is dedicated to helping parents connect with their children and increase peace in their homes. Named a Most Valuable Protégé by the Packers Mentor-Protégé Program and one of the top 10 LGBT+ Entrepreneurs to know, Sarah has appeared on multiple tv shows and podcasts, sharing her unique approach to parent coaching.
The Salisott PCC Parenting Story
Sarah founded this company, originally called The Foster Lane, out of personal need. None of the “traditional” parenting strategies worked for her children with extreme needs and behaviors. Tired of seeing them struggle at home and in school, and at her wit’s end, she knew there had to be a better way.
Sarah dove headfirst into research around trauma-informed parenting, interpersonal neurobiology, parenting strategies, and parent-child relationships.
That research has created peace in her home, so she set out to help as many other families as possible. Today, Empowerment Parenting by The Foster Lane hosts workshops and offers coaching services in multiple languages. And our work is just beginning.
