Hello, I'm Sam
Autism Certified Parent Support Â
Your bridge between clinical services and the real home-life you navigate everyday.
But you can call me your new Parenting Support Specialist!
I have a special passion for helping families of Gestalt language processors, parents who have felt pathologized by other providers, as well as parents who are ready to lean into joy in their parenting journey.
Whether it is 1:1 support, live group coaching, or through one of our amazing workshops, I meet families where they are to actually reach goals!
With a Certificate in Autism Spectrum Disorders and a Youth Sexuality SAR under my belt, I’m uniquely able to handle the complex needs of your neurodiverse family.

L’s Family - Kenosha CLTS
“Child-led, co-regulation, declarative language... we thought we understood these concepts, but Sam has shown us there is so much more to these.
In the three months of her compassionate guidance, we have made more amazing breakthroughs and shared aha! moments with our child--the greatest of which is that we did not truly understand our L, despite the years of ABA, speech, and occupational therapies we have undergone.Â
The principles and tools Sam has introduced us to, the empathetic ear she lent, as well as the insights she has given into the autistic mind, have since guided our life with our child, be it the challenges in GLP speech, the intricacies of sensory input and processing, the chaos of dysregulation, or the difficulties looming ahead as we hit more of his developmental milestones.”Â
How I help:
Autism Parent Education and Support
I use a play based approach to help parents tap into the learning style of children.
We both know that children with autism are uniquely themselves. This is both fun to discover and an absolute challenge when trying to navigate parenting challenges using resources that were designed for different kids. I am especially passionate about helping parents feel confident in the fact that AAC, Gestalt language processing, and echolalia are all neutral communication styles rather than something to fix.
I understand the appeal of parents seeking ABA services, however I help parents uncover their child's unique flow and build systems and support that support their child rather than seeking to change them
I help you step outside the mainstream parenting advice and into the world of custom fit, neurofriendly approaches.Â
There is a lot of trial and error. A lot of learning about your child and growing with them.
There can be grief in having a parenting experience that is different than you had hoped.
I'll be with you as you untangle all that and more.
Not only will you see a decrease in meltdowns, but you'll also see an increase in connection moments in your family.
Email me at Sam@SalisottPCC.com to schedule a 15 minute call to see if I am a good fit for you and your family.
p.s. You'll also see me at some of the live group calls that you can join if you attend one of our workshops (either live or hybrid!)
